Meet G.K.

Greetings, everyone. I'm GK and I've been a local of Escondido for most of my life. I’ve been telling stories since I was eleven years old. You'll often find me in the shop, up and down Grand Ave, or in our local cafes!

I am a deconstructed evangelical who has forged my own path with the Divine through exploration and study of particular ancient traditions. I now consider myself a devotee of Nature, the five base elements, and the Creative Process.

I am an independent author by trade, specializing in fantasy fiction. My works include themes of Found Family, Multiculturalism, and Celtic or Latin American Spirituality.

Books fascinated me from a young age. I grew up at a time when classrooms devoted time to silent, individual reading and pizza places offered parties for summer reading lists! I firmly believe that books open doors of imagination and possibility for us. Look for Prism's own Free Little Library out front of the shop during business hours!

I offer classes in creative writing through guided meditation, components of storytelling, and, soon, a Celtic and Gaelic Wheel of the Year seminar. Basically, if it involves fantastical plots, mystical ideologies, and captivating stories, I am there.

I drink way too much coffee. I am a nerd at heart and a not-so-secret goth. Dedicated Ravenclaw, Rebellion loyalist, and I long for Lestat or Armand to whisk me away to Europe. I adore cats and thrive best around my nearest and dearest friends.
